Intersport Järvenpää's Team Building Day
The day's program started with a city orienteering event, planned by Joona, where we were initially divided into teams of three. We received clear instructions for the first task right away. The task was to walk the route indicated on the map given to us and observe the surroundings carefully. At the destination, we were asked questions about things we had encountered along the way, and points were awarded for correct answers. The task was fun and required teamwork, which was really great. Additionally, the small competition between teams added an exciting element to the task!
Next, Joona led us in volleyball training at the school's gym. We did various exercises with the ball individually, in pairs, and in groups. We also received personalized guidance, taking everyone's starting level into account. After the exercises, we played a volleyball game. Joona's long volleyball background was evident in the coaching. We received knowledgeable, encouraging, and inspiring coaching, with a touch of humor!
The day was crowned with a delicious meal at a restaurant, where we continued with a quiz. After the points were tallied, the winning team was announced and rewarded. After that, the evening continued with a relaxed time together.
The team building day was extremely fun and successful. The program was just the right amount, and the planning took us participants into account. We are all active, so it was great to move and have fun together. I feel that we got to know each other better and grew closer during the day. It was nice to see everyone with a smile on their face all day long!

Coaching Day That Provided New Tools for All Participants

During the day, we also focused on other essential aspects of volleyball, such as defense and blocking. The goal was to provide each player with clear development tools that they can use in their own gameplay.

Personal Trainer Project
I got the idea to get myself in shape and make my volleyball debut in the top league after two months of training. I couldn't have done it alone, so I asked Joona for help, and he immediately joined the effort.
Joona first assessed my life situation so we could plan the training schedule to fit into my daily routine. We also went over my nutrition plan, which I could follow freely, but I filled out a food diary, and we started with fitness tests. The beginning wasn't as hard as I had expected; we started off more gently and gradually increased the intensity at a manageable pace. During the short period, the rhythm was excellent, perfectly adjusted to my busy schedule, and the new active lifestyle got off to a great start thanks to Joona's positive attitude.
The project culminated in the debut, and my body was in the best shape in years. My joints held up excellently despite the extra weight, and I lost 10 kg during the two-month project. I was initially skeptical about the durability of my joints, but Joona knew how to adjust the programs if I mentioned, for example, any knee discomfort in the diary.
After the project, the collaboration with Joona has continued, and my active lifestyle feels incredibly good. It's great to get in shape, and with Joona's help, I'll be in the best physical condition I've ever been in throughout my adulthood. Variety is the key, and Joona has made working out enjoyable for me. New activities like badminton and swimming have become highlights in my weekly schedule!
